CLIENT BRIEF

An initial consultation will take place either in our studio or at the project location to develop a brief, this is the first and most essential part of our process. Our intention and goal is to determine and visualise how you would enjoy, appreciate and utilise the space you wish to transform. Your personal style and objectives involving practicalities as well as timescales and budgets will then unfold during this process.

CONCEPTUAL DESIGN

Concept Design follows the Client Brief building on the initial ideas discussed and agreed. Further collaboration to include a site assessment and precedent breakdown will then allow Studio Black to fully flex their creative muscles to visually convey their design by producing conceptual plan layouts, mood boards and sample trays.

SCHEMATIC DESIGN

The Schematic Design phase is born from the meetings, discussions and feedback of the Concept Design phase. Studio Black will now move the design forward by refining the design scheme to include specific arrangements and design features, together with furniture specifications and finishes. At this stage the client may have the opportunity to visualise their design using architectural renderings to detail specific design aspects, showing the client a realistic image of their proposed scheme.

OPTIONAL 3D ARCHITECTURAL / INTERIOR VISUALS

During the conceptual / schematic design phases you have the opporutnity to have 3D interior architectural visualisations produced. From residential interior design to hospitality interior architecture, we offer high-quality 3D visualisations portraying our stories and proposals to our clients. They allow the client to see a space before it has been built; they allow for the space to be designed with visual feedback and are a great cost effective design tool.

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

Following the Schematic Design phase, Studio Black links the proposed scheme by producing an initial drawing package. This will include floor layouts, elevations, furnishing plans and reflected ceiling plans together with schedules depicting the proposed furnishes and finishes. Provision of final selections of all FF&E items will be approved at this stage.

DESIGN DOCUMENTS & FF&E

Following the approval of the Design Development, our process now enables design documents and FF&E specifications to be produced, allowing the commencement of works.

CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION

Construction Administration is the final stage where Studio Black will ensure a seamless transition from the concept to completion of your project. With meticulous planning, site visits and contractor liaison, we will guarantee that the design intent is met. Handover will include all final documentation administration and a snagging service; final client approval is paramount to Studio Black and their thoughtful attitude.
